Becoming fully alive
A discussion on your path

| Community, Wisdom

This new blog has been created as a place to reflect on the evolution of urban ministry in our diocese as well as the evolution of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church and Outreach, which serves as a hub for ministry. One of the concepts we embrace comes from the early church father St. Irenaeus who wrote: “The glory of God is a human being fully alive.” As we build community we strive to create a sanctuary – a safe place where individuals as well as the church body can become fully alive.

When we are called together it is never by accident. As part of my reflection I will explore my own personal parallel process – seeking to understand how it is informed by ministry and how it might help to shape others.  I am drawn to and energized by the possibility of ongoing growth and transformation which is embodied in the Good News of Jesus Christ.  The Great Adventure of being a Jesus follower is never dull and full of wonder-filled surprises.

Please pray for us, join with us, and follow us as the story unfolds.

The Rev. Beth Tjoflat
