St. Mary's Episcopal Church Food Pantry Ministry
Each aspect of our work at St. Mary’s is about building relationships. Our food pantry ministry provides space for an active and loving presence, touching individuals and families who, for whatever reason, find themselves without enough food to eat. The Food Pantry serves as many as 1,000 individuals and families each month with dry and canned goods, fresh bread, meat and produce.
There are many different jobs to do, including bagging bread and baked goods, picking up donated food from vendors, data entry, cleaning, packing, unloading food into the pantry and assisting clients. Volunteers come from St. Mary's and its surrounding neighborhood, other churches, the military, schools and individuals who want to be a part of forming community in a relevant and meaningful way. Help is always needed.
Dry good donation dropoff hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:30am-12:00pm at the 9th street gate.
Current pantry hours of operation: 2:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and 2:00 p.m. on Thursdays. Beginning December 3, 2024 pantry visits will be by appointment only.
